The Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs organizes the annual Regional Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (RPBD) celebration to honor Indian diaspora who have helped to demonstrate Indian contributions to humanity. On November 14, 2015, the Ministry honored Dr. Kali Pradip Chaudhuri for his work in the the healthcare industry. Dr. P. Chaudhuri and the KPC group (global conglomerate founded in 1994), has made tremendous strides toward improving healthcare in the both the United States and India.

Dr. Kali P. Chaudhuri is responsible for the development of the KPC Medical College & Hospital in West Bengal. In 2003, Dr. Kali Chaudhuri successfully established the first private medical school is West Bengal and is affiliated with West Bengal University of Health Sciences. On a sprawling 25 acre campus with more than 1.8 millions square fee of construction, the KPC Medical College & Hospital includes state-of-the-art academic facilities, laboratories and 750 bed hospital. Dr. Kali P. Chaudhuri and the KPC group is dedicated to increasing top tier educational opportunities for aspiring students seeking opportunities and impacting change in the medical community.

Hemet, CA (May 29, 2015) – Kali Chaudhuri and The KPC Group host Congressman Ken Calvert from the 42^nd District of California. Kali Chaudhuri is a noted surgeon, Lifetime Time Achievement Award recipient, and active CEO of the KPC group. Congressman Ken Calvert is a Republican that serves over the 42^nd District. He serves on the House Appropriations Committee. The Congressman is the Chairman over the Interior and Environment Subcommittee.  The 42^nd District includes the cities of Corona, Murrieta, Eastvale, Norco, Lake Elsinore, Wildomar, Canyon Lake, Menifee, and a part of Temecula. Recently, he has been tasked to help in the water crisis occurring in California. Congressman Calvert’s extensive priorities include anti-recession policies to reduce the national debt and promoting innovative health care systems. The Congressman is well known in the military community for his support in veterans programs and prior service employment. Congressman Calvert composed reformations that significantly increase access to health care and strongly promotes preventative care. The Congressman spoke at the event on Friday in regards to future reforms and promoting the community.

Kali Chaudhuri and the KPC Group were pleased to host Congressman Ken Calvert on May 29^th, 2015 at the Chaudhuri Circle in Hemet, CA. The event addressed health care reform, legislation of the water crisis, and other current events. Congressman Calvert announced future projects to provide more efficient standards for health care. Congressman Calvert and Kali Chaudhuri actively pursue developments that will advance communities and shape the future of California.
